OOTD: Dinner with Friends

8:50 AM

Black is probably my favorite color. There I said it. I'm not crazy about wild colors and will most likely stick to neutrals if put under pressure. This cold shoulder top is not only in my most worn color but it totally works for the summer months as well. I just love how it shows off my shoulders and collarbone and with just a little highlighter ( praise Champagne Pop) I looked like a glowing angel. Now I still think I'm a swollen mess from surgery but the big cat eye sunglasses give the look a more glam vibe and takes the attention away from my chubby cheeks.

Denim is an absolute staple in my closet. If I'm not wearing some sort of denim it's an off day.I practically live in my cuffed denim shorts all summer. For the night, I decided to switch it up with some dark wash skinny jeans. I'd totally rock this look with some cool ripped jeans but I was going out to dinner so ya got to keep it classy.

As for accessories, I paired my outfit with my bucket bag from target. The cream color is to die for and you can fit so much in there. I also decided to switch out my trusty FitBit for something more fancy. I broke out my AXiD watch which I am in love with. Something about a good classic watch just pulls an outfit together. All together I kept it pretty simple with the jewelry just wearing my Claddagh ring and my Celtic knot and thistle ring I bought in Scotland.

For my hair and makeup I kept it pretty simple and natural. I hate doing my hair in the summer...who am I kidding I hate doing my hair anytime of the year. I just blow dry it and run a hair straightener through it. Makeup wise I used the Bourjouis Healthy Mix Serum Foundation, my makeup forever concealer ( which is great for covering scars), my Physicians formula Butter Bronzer, Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop,  and my Wet and Wild Color Icon Blush in Rose Champagne on my face. On my eyes I used my Lorac Pro 3 palette, Elf black liquid eyeliner, Stila Stay all Day eyeliner, Tarte Light Camera Lashes Mascara, and Anastasia Brow Wiz. I only put a little chapstick on my lips because I'm still super nervous about irritating that area of my face. Plus I still can't really feel my lips so it makes applying anything a bit tricky.
